Report something

Tell us about anything on the wall, the team board or the feed that’s illegal, uses your work without permission, harasses someone, is a scam, or breaks our terms. Say what it is, where it is, and what’s wrong with it. On the feed, you can also report a post from its ⋯ menu.

Email your report

We look at every report, take down what is illegal or breaks our terms, and tell you what we did. If you’re unhappy with how we handled a report, or we took down something of yours and you think we got it wrong, email us the same way and we’ll look at it again.

If something copies your work

Send us a notice by email or post. It helps us find the material and deal with it quickly if it includes:

  1. your name, postal address and an email address we can reach you on;
  2. what your work is, and that you own it or are acting for whoever does;
  3. where the copy is on the site, with enough detail for us to find it, such as its link;
  4. why you say it’s unlawful: that you haven’t given permission, and that you don’t think any exception in the law, such as fair dealing, applies;
  5. a statement that what you’ve told us is accurate.

When we get a notice, we look at it. If the work has clearly been copied, we take it down promptly and tell whoever put it up, with a copy of the notice. If it isn’t clear, we may ask you or them for more. Please be sure before you send one: whoever put the material up gets a copy, and a notice you know is false can leave you liable for the harm it causes.

If we took something of yours down

If you think it was a mistake, or you had the right to use it, email us. Say what was taken down and where it was, why you had the right to use it (for example, it’s your own work, or you had permission), and give your name, postal address and email address.

We send a copy to whoever sent the notice, and look again. If it’s clear you had the right, we put the material back. If it isn’t clear, we may leave it down, and you and the other person may need to settle it between you, or in court.

Repeat copying

We close the account of anyone who keeps putting up other people’s work, and sooner if it’s serious or plainly deliberate.
